How a CNC Programmer Became a Master Tile Setter

The Master Tile Setter started his professional life in the trades as a CNC Programmer and Tool and Die Maker working for such companies as StackTeck and Lovat ( now Caterpillar). This is where he learned true precision. Working to tolerances of .0002"

He has two college diplomas and takes every opportunity to educate himself on latest technology and methods related to the field of work he is in.

He is creative and thinks out of the box and loves to learn. There is no problem he cannot solve and will always give his customers what they want. There is no I can’t do that or that’s not possible. Anything is possible and if the product does not exist for what our customers want then he will design it and make it for them. True custom work.

He has worked on parts for the Canadian Space Arm, Injection Molds and Tunnel Boring Machines. He worked to extreme precision and accuracy. Every part had to be perfect and within tolerance. There were no second chances.

Later he got his Welding Licence, CWB certificate and worked at Lovat ( Now Caterpillar) on  Tunnel Boring Machines and Custom Metal Fabrication.

An opportunity appears and a new trade is learned

Through a series of events he was offered a job building custom movie trailers that would accommodate the stars at movie sets. Very creative and original work. Thinking out of the box and using the latest technology.

The same company also built custom kitchens. Real custom kitchens not boxes ordered in, put together and then kind of customized, we did the real deal. Every part was hand made and hand painted in the shop.

A new trade was learned. He became a Master Cabinet Maker and Custom Carpenter and started his first renovations.
